It’s Top 5 Wednesday– my first time participating here on this blog! If you did not already know, Top 5 Wednesday is a Goodreads group created by gingerreadslainey to spur conversation on different topics each Wednesday.
This week we’re talking about the Top 5 Authors You’re Waiting on Another Book From. And let me tell you– I was ready for this! So, without further adieu, let’s get into the list.
#1: Sarah Dessen
If you know me, you won’t be even remotely surprised by this pick. I absolutely adore Sarah Dessen and every book she’s published. I read my first book of hers when I was in middle school and have been hooked ever since! I’m not sure if she’s announced her next book, but I know she’s talked about writing on Twitter– so I’m getting excited!
#2: Nicola Yoon
I read Nicola Yoon’s debut novel Everything, Everything last year and absolutely fell in love with her writing! I immediately wanted more– but thankfully I won’t have to wait much longer. Her next book The Sun is Also a Star is set to be released in November of this year. I’m counting down the days!
#3: Marya Hornbacher
Many of you may know Marya Hornbacher as the author of the New York Times Bestselling memoir about her eating disorder, Wasted. I also loved this book, but also fell in love with her follow-up memoir Madness and fiction debut The Center of Winter. According to her website, she’s at work on her next two books– one about the global crisis of mental health and another comprised of a collection of essays. Not many details have been released, but I am so excited to get my hands on them once they’re published!
#4: Estelle Laure
Estelle Laure’s debut novel This Raging Light was absolutely incredible– I fell in love with her characters and writing, and actually finished the entire thing in just under a day! I just found out that she has another book due to come out in 2017, but there are not many details about it yet. I can’t wait!
#5: John Green
I feel like this may be a somewhat stereotypical answer, but who doesn’t love John Green? There is little-to-no information out about his next book, aside from the fact that he’s been working on it. I’ve loved all of his other books (minus An Abundance of Katherines, but I didn’t dislike it too much), so I’m definitely anticipating his next release!
Well, folks, that’s all for now! In the comment section below be sure to let me know what authors you’re anticipating a book from.
Until next time,
